Where did WNC Fly And Lure come from?

I have fished my whole life. Since I was old enough to wade a creek with my dad I’ve walked the riverbanks and trails of western North Carolina. In high school I picked up fly fishing and tying flies. After school I started working in the fire service picked up jobs at serval stations and the NC State Forest Service and life got busy, I kept fishing but stopped tying flies. One day I walked in my normal big box store and my most used fly, a simi seal leech in the peacock color was gone and never offered again. So, I got online looked and looked till I found out what they were made of found the materials and began making my own again. Once my box was full I started making them for guys at work, and then eBay and Etsy. After a few thousand leeches in 6 colors I took that little bit of cash and grew into the begins of a full online fly shop minus rods, reels and waders but maybe one day we will add them too.

Why pick us?

Good question. With a boring answer, I’m not one for overpriced flashy items. You won’t find any used car salesmen pitches here just items at prices that everyday people can afford. If it’s useful, a good company, and they put out items that make for a better day on the water you will find them here. We have a growing catalog of items so be sure to check back often and feel free to reach out to us for anything your looking for we can look into getting it or making it for you.

Flies

We tie flies both custom orders and some pre tied. If it’s listed on the site they are pre tied and read to be shipped. If you have a request for more than what’s listed a different size or color. Or just a fly we don’t have send me a message and ill get back to you on making it.

Sinkers

Sinkers are the only thing that can be ordered if they are out of stock. We offer that option because we make them weekly. Sinkers can be bought by the sinker or by the pound If you’re a tackle shop looking for a sinker supplier use the contact us page for assistance.
